Care for Veterans

It is an honour and a privilege for Worthing RFC to ask you to do this for our local war veterans, based in central Worthing; our town, our community and our heroes.

Could you imagine what a special Spitfire flypast on VE Day would mean to these amazing people?

Care for Veterans (The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home) are not a charity raising funds for veterans with money going into a centralised pot far away from us here in Worthing. They’re a charity raising funds and awareness to physically and mentally care for our Worthing-based veteran heroes, on site, at a Hospital Home in Boundary Road, Worthing. I’m sure you’ll agree there is a difference.

Please take just a moment to look at this article and send in an email to VEDay75@dailymail.co.uk nominating Care for Veterans to have the VE Day Flypast in Worthing.

We as a club will also be supporting Care for Veterans when we launch our fun Virtual Balloon Race. Balloons will be able to be purchased at £3 each and all profits from this event will be given to Care for Veterans. There will be prizes for the winners of the race too which starts on Coronation Day, 2nd June 2020.  Details of the race and how ro purchase your balloons can be found following the links below:
