Congratulations go to Matt McLean who today maked his 200th National League appearance for Raiders.
Matt is having a great season, for the last few weeks he has been the League’s top point scorer with 196 points (11 tries, 45 conversions and 17 penalties). Overall, he has made 93 National League tries and 1,914 NL points in his career so far.
Matt’s first game for Raiders was against ‘old rivals’ Henley away at Dry Leas on 24th January 2009
where he started his NL points tally with 2 conversions and a penalty. He’s been a regular member of the squad since then, though he missed over a season and a half after a serious injury in November 2012 when Raiders were in National One, against Henley. He made his long awaited return , yes you’ve guessed it, against the Hawks in February 2014.
He celebrated the day by scoring another 16 points, comprising a try, a penalty and 4 conversions. Well done Matt.
