Congratulations Worthing U15s

Posted

Congratulations to the Worthing under 15s boys who not only won the  Sussex League 1 with a perfect unbeaten record but also were crowned  Sussex Trophy Final Winners beating  Hove Bulldogs 32-10 in the final.

The A Squad are now unbeaten in all competitions for over 15 months and have not lost a Home match for more than 5 years which is a fantastic achievement.

This season has also seen success for the Development Squad who have been promoted to League 2 and individual success with 11 County players,  7 Quinns DPP and – 1 Quinn’s Elite players coming from the squad.

Team Manager Nick May Said

Both our squads train together and with the exception of a couple of players who have been injured all of our Development squad players have had an opportunity to be part of the A’s match day squad this season.

This has ensured that every player feels that they have an opportunity to progress to the level they would like to reach. They also feel that they are all part of a successful squad, it has also resulted in there being strong competition for positions in our A squad.

More good news is that we are already receiving inquiries from players currently at other clubs who would like to join us from the start of next season.

Finally, a big thank you to our coaches, Chris Brown, Fred Jefferiss, Terry Doorey-Palmer, Stuart Hunt and also Raiders Michael Dingle and Tom Adams who have assisted them.
