Raiders return to action this week with Clifton at home. With a number of players making their way back from injury, the coaching staff have had a selection headache in the back line this week with too many backs to choose from.
One change in the front row from last week with Harris slotting back into hooker whilst Will Grief takes his place on the bench. Storer and Gatford continue to hold the Raiders pack together in the front row and Barlow partners up with Lake once again to form a powerful, versatile second row. Hadifeld, Whittall and Lamb form the home sides back row and have impressed as a unit whilst Perkins, Smith, Redmayne and Hewick recover from their injuries.
Boyland has made a great impact at scrum half over the past few fixtures with Montgomery retaining the 10 shirt. Last weeks try scorer Irving starts on one wing with Neilsen on the other. The midfield partnership of Richards and Coxon-Smith will look to get over the gain line and put the Raiders on the front foot during tomorrows clash. Skipper Matt Mclean will once again control the game from fullback.
Sargent sits on the bench and will look to get some game time in front of the home crowd. The Worthing faithful will be more than pleased to see the return of chop tackler Sam Hewick to the match day squad and we’re sure he’ll be eager to get out on the pitch as soon as he can. Leeming and Loosmore also get a place on the bench and look to cover the back line.
Don’t let the weather ruin your weekend, bring an umbrella and cheer the boys on! RAID ON!!
