After a cancellation against Old Elthamians last week due to a frozen pitch, the Raiders travel to Kent to face old foe Canterbury who’s last encounter ended with a 30-12 win to the Worthing side. The Worthing faithful will be glad to see Dan Sargent, Alex Neilsen and Kariym Irving return to the squad this weekend as we look for a vital win.
Ryan Storer will start alongside the ever impressive Grant Gatford with ex East Grinstead player Will Grief starting at hooker. Scott Barlow and Jack Lake continue to form the Raiders second row and will be key to winning the line out. Hadfield and Whittall look to provide some quick play through the forwards with Quins signing Dino Lamb starting at 8 after an impressive performance in a very difficult fixture against Cinderford.
Boyland gets his first start for the Raiders at 9 and partners up with George Montgomery at fly-half. Kariym Irving returns to the starting line up after a couple of weeks out due to a minor injury. Kieran Leeming moves out a position to start at inside centre alongside Finlay Coxon-Smith who returns after 4 weeks on the sideline. Matt Mclean captains the side from fullback and will look to control the game.
George Harris and Matt Finney are accompanied by the returning Dan Sargent who will make a huge impact off of the bench. Harry Short comes in to cover the back row after clocking up some minutes for the Raiders A. Neilsen also travels to Canterbury and will hope to get on the score sheet when he returns to the field.
Good luck guys and RAID ON!!
