To finish off the season we went on tour to France/Belgium, with 30 players and 33 parents…
We decided to play our tour fixtures as one team rather than having ‘A’ and ‘Dev’ sides.
The camaraderie across the whole squad which had been building through the long season was very much in evidence again as we went on to win both friendlies as well as the tournament, scoring 147 and conceding 7 points over the 7 matches.
We would like to thank the Belgian sides RC Soignies and RC Mechelen for hosting us and also like to mention Eccles RFC who we played on both days, with both sets of players and parents striking up a great friendship over the weekend.
After such a great season I would like to end by thanking all of the coaches (Chris, Fred, Terry, Gavin, Andy and Stuart) on behalf of the players and parents for the time and effort that they put in throughout the season to ensure the boys continue to enjoy their rugby.
