Worthing lock selected for Welsh Academicals

Worthing lock Michael Dingle has been selected to play for the Welsh Academicals v Oxford University tomorrow in Oxford. Michael is currently playing as part of the Raiders Squad and was invited to join the WRU affiliated team for students designed to assist them towards the elite player pathway. The match will be taking place at Oxford University’s Jackdaw Lane ground tomorrow (11th Nov) at 2.00pm.

Michael said: “I’m really happy to be selected for this fixture and I am looking forward to the challenge and the opportunity to develop from the experience. I hope to be able to represent the Club positively and demonstrate the abilities I’ve developed through playing rugby at Worthing.”

Michael is currently playing his rugby at Worthing as part of the Raiders squad, having played rugby at the Club since he was 6. As part of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, Michael was selected from hundreds of junior players to join the New Zealand All Blacks to train with them at the Twickenham Stoop; receiving coaching from internationals such as Sonny Bill Williams, Kieran Reid and Kevin Mealamu.
