On Sunday Worthing Warriors faced Canterbury ladies in their second league game of the season. Canterbury have always been known for being a strong, well drilled team, and they certainly didn’t disappoint this weekend. The game was one of the toughest to date for the Warriors but every player continued to battle through right until the final whistle regardless of the score. There was some absolutely cracking tackles made throughout, most noteworthy came from captain, Giorgia Palethorpe, and scrum half, Jasmine Spalding, with our flyhalf, Saz Longhurst, making some brilliant runs. All three players deservingly won the end of match awards for forward, back and player of the match respectively. Whilst they unfortunately did not manage to get any points on the board and took a few injuries away from the game the Warriors certainly made their point that they will fight to the end no matter what and for that every player can be proud of what they did.
