U15’s

We currently have 36 registered players making us one of the largest U15 squads in Sussex.

Our coaches have always placed an emphasis on everyone training together for as much time as possible to help develop the entire squad. This inclusive approach has helped us retain so many players since they first started playing at U6, it has also contributed to the steady increase in our squad size.

We have been able to consistently field 2 competitive teams through the Mini’s years (u6-12) where as well as winning local tournaments we were Sussex County age group champions several times and won the prestigious Premiership Land Rover Cup competition in consecutive seasons.

We have followed up on our success in the Mini’s by topping our Pools in consecutive seasons (U13 and U14) in the Juniors,  losing only 2 matches in doing so.

We are now looking forward to playing in the U15 Sussex League competition where our A’s are drawn in the ‘A’ league and our Development squad are playing in the ‘C’  league against other club’s A teams.

To further develop the players and to give them more game time experience we arrange ‘friendly’ fixtures. We look further afield to seek out new and strong opposition, travelling beyond the Sussex border and inviting clubs from surrounding counties to come to Worthing to play us. Details of this seasons league and friendly fixtures will be posted here soon.

Tour
To finish off the season we went on tour to France/Belgium, with 30 players and 33 parents…

We  decided to play our tour fixtures as one team rather than having ‘A’ and ‘Dev’ sides.
The camaraderie across the whole squad which had been building through the long season was very much in evidence again as we went on to win both friendlies as well as the tournament, scoring 147 and conceding 7 points over the 7 matches.
Finally
After such a great season I would like to end by thanking all of the coaches (Chris, Fred, Terry, Gavin, Andy and Stuart)  on behalf of the players and parents for the time and effort that they put in throughout the season to ensure the boys continue to enjoy their rugby.
